63.6% of Californian voters support dissolving the CPUC

From wild fire management to high speed rail failure, it's time to hold CPUC accountable.

Mission Statement

To ensure every Californian has the necessary utilities to safely live and participate in today’s economy without interruption.

About the Recall CPUC Coalition

A technology coalition of private companies and concerned California citizens launched this nonpartisan initiative in 2021 in response to the poor oversight of public utilities by the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC).

Over the years, the CPUC has increasingly floundered in its management of wildfires and electrical blackouts and brownouts – leaving scores without power and hundreds dead. It has also failed to provide adequate internet and phone services for vulnerable, low-income Californians.

The CPUC no longer serves its purpose and has deteriorated to the point of being obsolete. The coalition believes citizens of the golden state would be better served if the commission were dissolved and its duties reallocated to state agencies that already perform similar functions.
